Who has the best beers in the World? What makes a World class beer? These
questions and more will be debated and possibly answered at this annual
international clash, The World Cup of Beer Challenge. We are fortunate to have
Australia’s foremost beer writer Willie Simpson joining us, whom has spent most
of his life commenting on the amber nectar for the past 20 years. As a leading
beer journalist and beer judge, Willie’s writing regularly appears in Good
Living (Sydney Morning Herald), Epicure (The Age, Melbourne), Gourmet Traveller
WINE and Qantas magazine. Additionally, he is also the author of The Beer Bible
(Fairfax Publishing, 2006) and Amber & Black (New Holland Publishing, 2001)
Could there be anyone better to help settle the age old argument of whether
Aussie brews are better than the imports. On the night, Willie will showcase
some of craft brewer Matilda Bay’s finest beers along with an impressive range
